Mathews Ndhlovu Unveiled as FC MUZA’s New Head Coach
FC MUZA, one of Zambia’s prominent football clubs, has made an exciting announcement regarding the appointment of Mathews Ndhlovu as their new head coach.
The 57-year-old coach brings an impressive array of qualifications and experience to the role, making him a valuable addition to the team. Ndhlovu holds a CAF A diploma, FIFA coaching certificate, and KNVB coaching certificate, which demonstrate his commitment to professional development and expertise in the field.
Ndhlovu’s appointment comes as a result of Lameck Banda‘s departure from FC MUZA, who had previously held the position of head coach. Banda decided to join Lumwana Radiants, another club in the Zambian football league. With Banda’s exit, FC MUZA was in search of a capable successor, and they found just that in Mathews Ndhlovu.
The official unveiling of Ndhlovu took place in Lusaka on a Saturday afternoon, where FC MUZA‘s President, Keith Mweemba, and Chief Executive Officer, Joel Kabika, proudly introduced him as the club’s new head coach. This event signifies the start of a new chapter for FC MUZA, as they look forward to the positive impact Ndhlovu will have on the team.
In his address to the press and fans, Ndhlovu expressed his determination to work diligently alongside the team management, players, and supporters to achieve the goals set for the club. His commitment to collaboration and hard work bodes well for FC MUZA, as they strive for success in the upcoming season.
Ndhlovu’s coaching career has already seen notable achievements. In 2007, he guided Forest Rangers to victory in the prestigious Coca-Cola Cup championship, showcasing his ability to lead a team to success. Such accomplishments serve as a testament to his tactical knowledge and managerial skills, instilling confidence in FC MUZA and their fans.
Prior to his coaching career, Ndhlovu enjoyed a successful stint as a player. He showcased his talents for various clubs, including Kabwe Warriors, Red Arrows, Railway Express, and Bulawayo Highlands in Zimbabwe. His experience as a player provides him with invaluable insights into the game, further enhancing his coaching abilities.
FC MUZA‘s qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup is a significant achievement, earned by finishing second in the MTN Super League during the previous season. With Ndhlovu at the helm, the club aims to make a mark in the continental tournament and represent Zambia with pride.
As the football community eagerly anticipates the start of the new season, FC MUZA‘s appointment of Mathews Ndhlovu brings renewed hope and excitement. Fans, players, and management alike are optimistic about the positive impact he will make on the team, as they strive to achieve their set objectives and compete at the highest level.
