The stage is set for an exciting encounter between Lesotho and Zambia as they go head to head in a highly anticipated football match. While Zambia may have the upper hand on paper, with their previous AFCON victory and a squad consisting of Europe-based players, Lesotho‘s assistant coach Leslie Notsi insists that his team is not afraid.
In fact, Notsi has boldly declared that Lesotho has already beaten Zambia before at the 2021 COSAFA Competition, and that they are fully capable of doing it again. While he acknowledges that Zambia has quality players, he maintains that his team is coming to the game with confidence and a competitive spirit.
Coach Avram Grant has selected 15 foreign-based players, nine of whom play in Europe. This undoubtedly gives Zambia an advantage, but Notsi is not intimidated. He firmly believes that Lesotho has what it takes to emerge victorious, even without Europe-based players in their squad.
