Eden Women’s Super League Week 8: Zesco Grind, Nchanga Hit Five

The 2025/26 Eden University Women Super League delivered yet another thrilling weekend, with 20 goals scored across nine fiercely contested fixtures. From late winners to relegation shake-ups, Matchweek 8 proved decisive as both the title race and bottom battle intensified.

Zesco Ndola Girls Maintain Winning Streak, Sit 3rd

Defending champions Zesco Ndola Girls clinched a dramatic 1-0 victory over 7th-placed Zanaco Ladies courtesy of an 88th-minute strike from red-hot forward Avell Chitundu. The goal extended both Zesco’s six-match winning streak and Chitundu’s four-game scoring run, keeping the Ndola outfit firmly in 3rd place.

Green Eagles Fight Back to Go Second

Green Eagles Women edged Amazing Grace FC 2-1 in a penalty-filled thriller, with veteran striker Rachael Moono scoring twice, including a last-minute winner. With the result, Green Eagles climb to 2nd, while Amazing Grace drop to 15th and remain locked in relegation trouble.

Nchanga Rangers Hit Bottom-Placed ZISD for Five

In one of their most dominant performances this season, 16th-placed Nchanga Rangers Queens demolished bottom side ZISD Women (18th) with a 5-0 rout, featuring five different goal scorers — a rare show of attacking depth.

Konkola Blades Back in Form, Move to 6th

After midweek disappointment, Konkola Blades Queens bounced back with a 2-0 win over National Assembly Women, who remain 16th in the drop zone. The three points push Blades into 6th position, consolidating their mid-table push.

Red Arrows Women defeated 17th-placed Chipata Girls 2-0, thanks to early goals from Mwaka Mupeta and Bertha Kashinga. The Airwomen now sit 4th, firmly in top-four contention.
