CRECK SC Suspends Kamwendo and Technical Team After Poor Start

CRECK Sporting Club has suspended head coach Joseph Kamwendo, assistant Abel Mkandawire, and strikers’ trainer Chiukepo Msowoya after a disappointing run of form in the 2025 TNM Super League.

The shake-up comes in the wake of a narrow 1-0 defeat to Mighty Wanderers, which marked CRECK’s third loss in five matches. The club has struggled to find form this season, managing only one win and one draw, with losses also coming against Dedza Dynamos and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.

Club Secretary Aaron Mtaya confirmed the decision, saying it was intended to “review the technical direction and address the team’s underperformance.” The coaching trio will face the club’s executive board on Friday to explain the team’s lackluster start.

In the interim, Harry Saidi, previously serving as a secondary assistant coach, will take charge as acting head coach.

CRECK Sporting Club currently sits 15th on the TNM Super League table with just four points from five games, placing them in early relegation danger. The club will be hoping the change in leadership will trigger a turnaround before the situation worsens.
