Chipolopolo will play an international friendly match with the Israel National Team during the November FIFA window.
FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala says the match will be played at Petach Tikva Stadium.
Kashala says the game against Israel is part of FAZ’s long term plan to keep the Chipolopolo engaged ahead of competitive assignments.
“We are excited to announce the organization of an international friendly match between Zambia and Israel to be staged on November 17, 2022, during the FIFA window,” Kashala says.
“The match will be held in Europe with both teams fielding their A-teams for the FIFA approved game. We would like to thank our colleagues from Israel for having agreed to play us. Over the years we have had football ties that have seen Zambia players ply their trade in Israel. Notably Emmanuel Mayuka, Evans Kangwa, William Njobvu, Lameck Banda, Klings Kangwa, Roger Kola, Francis Kasonde, Fwayo Tembo and Justin Zulu have left a footprint in Israel.”
FAZ has kept the tradition of organizing international games for national teams with the FIFA World Cup bound Copper Queens set to play Columbia in Cali next month.
