Chelsea Football Club has officially announced the signing of Deivid Washington, an 18-year-old Brazilian talent. The transfer is reported to have involved a fee of approximately £17 million.
The young footballer’s journey began in Brazil, where he initially started his professional career at Gremio. In 2016, he made a significant move to Santos, another prominent Brazilian club. Remarkably, Washington signed his first professional contract at the tender age of 16.
During his time at Santos, Washington made nine appearances for the senior team and managing to score two goals. One of his notable achievements was his debut in the Copa do Brasil, where he made his senior team entrance as a substitute in April.
In addition to securing Washington’s , Chelsea is reportedly in the process of finalizing the signing of Djordje Petrovic from England . The transfer fee for this deal is said to be around £14 million. Petrovic, a goalkeeper, is anticipated to undergo a medical examination with Chelsea to complete the transfer.
