Central Province Division One League Set to 7th September 2024
The Central Province Division One League Season of 2024-2025 is set to kick off during the weekend of 7th and 8th September 2024, according to fixtures released by the Regional Secretariat. This season promises to be an exciting and competitive one, with several new developments adding to the anticipation.
Five newly promoted teams will join the league this season: Forest Myooye, Chikumbi Green Eagles, Liteta United, Kapiri Bullets, and Masansa United Football Clubs. Their inclusion is expected to shake up the competition and introduce a fresh dynamic to the league.
In addition to the new promotions, there has been a significant change with Machacha Soccer Academy, a team based in Shibuyunji district, taking over the slot from Syax Football Club. This marks a historic moment as Machacha Soccer Academy becomes the first team from Shibuyunji district to play at this level under the Central Province FAZ. Playing their home games at Nampundwe Stadium, Machacha Soccer Academy is anticipated to bring a blend of talent and strategy to the league, making them a team to watch.
The league will feature a total of 18 teams, including the 12 teams from the previous season who are gearing up to defend their positions and strive for top honors. With all teams vying for top positions, the competition is set to be fierce, as they aim to qualify for the Zambian Premier League’s (ZPL) National Division One next season.
Fans and football enthusiasts across the province can look forward to a season filled with thrilling matches, intense rivalries, and standout performances. The blend of new teams and fresh talent, combined with the skills of the existing teams, ensures that the Central Province Division One League Season of 2024-2025 will be one to remember.
A unique feature of this league is the regulation that walkovers are not allowed, encouraging teams to compete on the field of play and ensuring a fair and competitive environment.
Stay tuned as the action unfolds on the field, and get ready to witness the excitement and drama that the upcoming season has in store.
