Barbra Banda Named in NWSL Best XI for Second Consecutive Month

Zambian international Barbra Banda has once again made headlines in the United States National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) after being named in the NWSL Best XI for the second month in a row, thanks to her exceptional performances for Orlando Pride.

The 24-year-old forward is the only player from Orlando Pride to make the April list, solidifying her reputation as one of the most in-form players in world football.

Banda’s Brilliant April

Banda was a constant threat throughout April, recording 11 shots and scoring two goals across three matches, playing a crucial role in Orlando Pride’s push to retain their position among the league’s top contenders. Her consistency and explosive attacking play earned her yet another well-deserved spot in the league’s monthly elite list.

The NWSL Best XI of the Month is selected by the NWSL Media Association and the league’s broadcast team, reflecting both statistical performance and expert analysis. Banda’s inclusion for a second consecutive month underscores her growing impact on one of the most competitive women’s football leagues globally.

Kansas City Current and Gotham FC Dominate List

Kansas City contributed Izzy Rodriguez, Debinha, and Lo’eau LaBonta, while Gotham FC were represented by Lilly Reale, Emily Sonnett, and Esther González, the latter also winning April Player of the Month after netting seven goals in four matches.
