2025 TNM Super League Week 3 Review: Bullets Dominate, Kamuzu Barracks Impress, Tigers Bounce Back

The third week of the 2025 TNM Super League produced fireworks, drama, and statement performances as the season begins to take real shape. Title contenders stamped their authority, newly promoted teams struggled to cope, and struggling sides finally found life.

Here’s a complete rundown of the Week 3 fixtures held between April 19–21.

Blue Eagles 0-0 Creck Sporting Club

Venue: Nankhaka Stadium – Lilongwe
Both sides cancelled each other out in a rather uneventful draw. Blue Eagles, led by in-form Micium Mhone and Gilbert Chirwa, dominated possession but lacked end product in the final third. Meanwhile, Creck Sporting picked up their first top-flight point of the season through a resilient defensive display marshaled by Emmanuel Singano.

  • Blue Eagles: 7th place – 4 points

  • Creck SC: 13th place – 1 point

Kamuzu Barracks 4-0 Mafco FC

Venue: Civo Stadium – Lilongwe
Kamuzu Barracks exploded out of the gates, scoring one of the fastest goals in TNM Super League history after just 7 seconds. Shuiten Taniel Mhango was on fire with a brace, while Zeliat and Nsapato added to the scoreline. Mafco had no response and now slide down the table after a second straight loss.

  • Kamuzu Barracks: 2nd place – 4 points (superior goal difference)

  • Mafco FC: 10th place – 3 points

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets 7-0 Songwe United

Venue: Kamuzu Stadium – Blantyre
A ruthless performance from the defending champions. Wongan Lungu’s first-half brace and goals from Babatunde, Salima, Phodo, Kajoke, and an own goal by Mwaseghe left Songwe United completely exposed. It’s now three losses in a row for the newcomers.

  • Bullets: 1st place – 9 points (+11 GD)

  • Songwe United: 16th place – 0 points

Chitipa United 1-0 Ekhaya FC

Venue: Karonga Stadium – Karonga
Joseph Mbaga’s 13th-minute strike was enough to hand Chitipa United their first win of the season. The hosts showed grit to hold off a strong Ekhaya side that had started the campaign impressively. Coach-player Andrew Haaland Joseph’s tactical approach was spot-on against a previously unbeaten opponent.

  • Chitipa United: 11th place – 3 points

  • Ekhaya FC: 4th place – 6 points

Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos 2-0 Mighty Tigers

Venue: Kamuzu Stadium – Blantyre
After heartbreak in Week 2, Dedza Dynamos bounced back with a confident display. Martin Msewa’s penalty and Precious Chiudza’s second-half strike secured all three points. Tigers, despite showing flashes of promise, remain winless and in desperate need of solutions.

  • Dedza Dynamos: 8th place – 3 points

  • Mighty Tigers: 15th place – 0 points

What We Learned from Week 3

  • Bullets are title favourites – 9 points, 11 goals scored, none conceded. Kalisto Pasuwa’s men look unstoppable.

  • Kamuzu Barracks have firepower – The 4-0 thrashing of Mafco shows they are ready to compete at the top.

  • Tigers need urgency – Zero points from three games, despite scoring twice in Week 2. Time is running out.

  • Ekhaya and Chitipa are dark horses – Both teams have shown potential and will be hard to break down at home.
