Watch Lameck Banda score his first goal in Italian Serie A

ZAMBIA striker Lameck Banda on Saturday opened his scoring account in the Italian Serie A contributing a goal in Lecce’s 2-0 win over Sampdoria.

Banda is among 24 players called to the Chipolopolo by interim coach Moses Sichone for Thursday’s international friendly against Israel.

This was Banda’s 15th appearance in all competitions since joining the club at the start of the season.

He came on as a substitute replacing Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Strefezza on 71 minutes. Twelve minutes later, Banda put his name on the score sheet.

He was put through by striker Lorenzo Colombo and he pushed the ball with a decent first touch before chipping it over Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero.

The goal will motivate him as he turns up for Chipolopolo duty against Israel at Petach Tikva Stadium.
