Zambia’s 2012 AFCON Wining team to face Barcelona Legends

Minister of Youth, Sport and Art Elvis Nkandu has revealed that the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations winning Chipolopolo are scheduled to entertain Football Club Barcelona Legends on May 27, 2023 in an exhibition match on home soil.

Speaking during the Launch of the hosting of the FC Barcelona Tour in Lusaka, Nkandu says the event will help promote sport tourism and present many business opportunities to Zambians.

Among the players who have confirmed participation is Ronaldinho, Giovanni and Frank De Boer.

Meanwhile, the 2012 AFCON winning team players have described the event as a great honor and opportunity, adding that it will bring great memories to the people of Zambia.

The event is being organized by the King of Africa Sport in Partnership with the Ministry of Sport
