
After coming through a tense semifinal, Zambia have booked a place for Sunday’s final of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup 2023 against Lesotho.
Zambia thrashed South Africa in a 2-1 goal lead to secure a place in the finals which saw Captain Kelvin kapumbu earning Man of the match award.
While Lesotho beat Malawi 3-0 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in their 2023 Cosafa Cup semifinal match played at the King Zwelithini Stadium.
Zambia got hit in the first half by Bafana Bafana’s Tshegofatso Mabasa’s goal but that didn’t stop then from making a quick encounter to equalize in the second half up until Red Arrows’ Albert Kangwanda scored with a stunning freekick in the 69th minute giving Zambia a second goal
This is the second time in a row for zambia to reach the COSAFA final while it is for the first time Lesotho is reaching the finals of COSAFA cup.
The final match will be held on sunday the 16th of July 2023 at king zwelethini stadium in Durban at 18:00.
