Unbeaten Bullets Set the Pace in TNM Super League Week 8

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Extend Lead as TNM Super League Heats Up

As Week 8 of the 2025 TNM Super League concludes, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have firmly stamped their authority on the competition. With a flawless six-game winning streak, the defending champions are setting a fearsome pace, while the mid-table race tightens with a flurry of form shifts and unpredictable outcomes.

Bullets Unstoppable with 100% Start

Kalisto Pasuwa’s FCB Nyasa Big Bullets remain the benchmark. Their record—6 wins, 20 goals scored, and just 1 conceded—has been nothing short of remarkable. With 18 points and a +19 goal difference, the Blantyre giants continue to outplay their opponents with flair, discipline, and ruthless finishing.

Their latest result not only keeps them at the summit but reinforces their tag as favourites to retain the title. The challenge now is for the chasing pack to keep up, particularly with Mighty Wanderers trailing by five points but with a game in hand.

Wanderers and Silver Strikers in Pursuit

Mighty Wanderers remain unbeaten and second on the log, although a string of draws has slightly blunted their momentum. With a game in hand, they still have a chance to close the gap—especially if they can sharpen their attacking edge.

Silver Strikers, sitting in 10th with 8 points, have games in hand and are showing signs of revival. Speaking ahead of their clash with Wanderers, coach Peter Mgangira voiced confidence:

“We acknowledge that Wanderers are experienced and unbeaten. But we have our mechanisms, and we depend on them to win like we did last time.”

Blue Eagles, in fourth on 11 points, impressed recently with a high-scoring win. However, their defence continues to be their Achilles’ heel, a concern they’ll need to fix to sustain a top-four push.

Mid-Table Chaos: Every Point Counts

Just three points separate 5th from 10th in what’s becoming a frantic battle for top-half supremacy. Moyale Barracks, with just 1 goal conceded, boast one of the league’s meanest defences and are proving tough to break down.

Ekhaya FC, fresh off a hard-earned win over Karonga United, are finding their rhythm at the right time. Meanwhile, Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos and Civil Service United remain locked in inconsistency—capable of strong showings but too often undone by lapses in concentration.

Red Alert for Songwe United

At the bottom, the alarm bells are ringing for Songwe United, who suffered yet another loss—this time to Creck Sporting Club. With only a point from their opening fixtures and defensive frailties still unaddressed, relegation fears are growing louder. Urgent changes may be necessary if they’re to avoid the drop
