Stopilla Sunzu doubtful for Israel encounter

AFCON winning  defender Stopilla Sunzu is doubtful for next Thursday’s international friendly against Israel owing to coronavirus restrictions in China.

Sunzu, who plays his trade in China for  Cangzhou Mighty Lions is ready to play for Zambia but COVID-19 restrictions might prevent him to feature for the Zambia National Team when they face Israel.

Another play that won’t be make it is Copper Queens captain Barbara Banda, she will not take part in the two friendlies with Colombia  due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Zambia’s National Team interim coach, Moses Sichone included Sunzu in the 24-member team that will face Israel at Petach Tikva Stadium on November 17.

Sunzu last played for Chipolopolo colours in 2019 during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria which Zambia lost 5-0 in Blida

Zambia will use the match to prepare for the 2023 Ivory Coast Africa Cup of Nations back-to-back fixtures against Lesotho next March.
