ZESCO United officially brought the curtain down on the 2025/26 season on Sunday night with a glamorous end-of-season awards gala held at Mukuba Hotel in Ndola.
The event celebrated outstanding performances from players across the club’s men’s, women’s, academy, and feeder teams following another busy campaign in Zambian football.
Zesco Ndola Girls star Eneless Phiri and Zesco United duo Abraham Siankombo and Amine Hiver emerged among the biggest winners on the night after scooping major individual honours.
Eneless Phiri Shines for Zesco Ndola Girls
Zesco Ndola Girls winger Eneless Phiri enjoyed a memorable evening after winning the Women’s Player of the Year award following an outstanding campaign.
The talented winger played a key role in helping Zesco Ndola Girls successfully defend the ZPL Women’s Super League title this season.
Phiri also walked away with the Fans’ Player of the Season accolade, further highlighting her influence and popularity among supporters.
Meanwhile, team captain Avell Chitundu secured the Golden Boot award after finishing the campaign with an impressive 26 goals.

- Judith Soko — Young Player of the Year
Siankombo and Hiver Lead Men’s Awards
In the men’s category, winger Abraham Siankombo scooped two of the biggest honours after winning both the Footballer of the Season and Players’ Player of the Year awards.
The exciting attacker enjoyed a strong campaign and was recognised by both the club and his teammates for his performances throughout the season.
Meanwhile, Chadian striker Amine Hiver also enjoyed a successful evening after collecting the Top Scorer award and Fans’ Player of the Year accolade following his impressive 15-goal campaign.
The striker established himself as one of Zesco United’s key attacking players during the season.
More Recognition for Zesco Stars
Experienced defender Kabaso Chongo was recognised with the Most Consistent Player award after another solid season at the back.
Eswatini international Lindo Mkhonta collected the Most Disciplined Player award, while Gabonese youngster Derrick Assoumou Obame was named Young Player of the Year following a promising debut season.
