Nyasa Big Bullets Coach Talks Tough Ahead of Arrows CAF Match

Nyasa Big Bullets head coach, Callisto Pasuwa, has exuded confidence ahead of his team’s CAF Champions League preliminary round, second leg match against Zambia’s Red Arrows. The match is set to take place at the National Heroes Stadium at 15:00 hours.

Despite leading 2-1 from the first leg played in Lilongwe, Pasuwa acknowledged the challenge ahead, emphasizing that Red Arrows are a well-structured and experienced side. He expressed his team’s readiness to handle the expected onslaught from the Zambian team and to secure their aggregate lead.

“We played the first half of the 90 minutes in Lilongwe; we are here for the second half. We are playing a structured team, a very experienced side, and we know what to expect from these guys—they will come at us. I think we have a plan B for it,” said Pasuwa, dismissing any doubts about his team’s preparedness.

Pasuwa also addressed recent media reports suggesting that Nyasa Big Bullets were not ready for the return leg after playing a league match shortly after their CAF encounter. He downplayed these concerns, insisting that his team is fully prepared for the challenge.

“I think it is the media, like you said; I do not know how they report. I am telling you we are ready, and you are telling me they said something else.”

Pasuwa further added that his team feels at home in Lusaka due to the proximity to Malawi, indicating that the players are comfortable and ready to give their best.

Red Arrows will be looking to overturn the deficit and progress to the next round, while Nyasa Big Bullets aim to defend their advantage and advance in the competition.
