Nkana FC midfielder and captain Harrison Chisala has been named the Week Four Fans’ Player of the Week after collecting more than 840 votes, extending the club’s run of success in the supporters’ award to two winners in a row.
Chisala earned the recognition after an assured performance in Nkana’s 2-0 victory over Nchanga Rangers at Nkana Stadium, where he also picked up the Player of the Match award for leading from the front. The double recognition marks an impressive week for the Nkana skipper, whose contribution helped Kalampa secure another important victory in the 2026 MTN Super League Transitional Season.
The latest award means Nkana have now claimed the Fans’ Player of the Week accolade in two consecutive award rounds. Lazarous Kambole won the award following the Week Two fixtures, before Chisala took the honours for Week Four. The Week Three fixtures were postponed, meaning no intervening round took place between the two Nkana winners.
Chisala’s individual achievement comes as Nkana continue to impress on the pitch. The victory over Nchanga Rangers marked their third consecutive win, extending their unbeaten run to three matches and lifting them to the top of Stream A with nine points from three games.
The midfielder’s leadership has been an important part of the club’s positive start, with his latest recognition reflecting the support he has received from Nkana fans. Collecting more than 840 votes, Chisala emerged as the supporters’ choice after helping the Kitwe giants maintain their perfect record.
With three wins from three matches, Nkana have established themselves as early pace-setters in Stream A. The club will now look to maintain that momentum, while Chisala will aim to build on his individual success and continue leading the side as captain.
For Nkana, having Kambole and Chisala win the Fans’ Player of the Week award in successive rounds adds another positive note to an impressive start to the campaign. With nine points secured and top spot in Stream A, Kalampa will be determined to keep their winning run going.
