Napsa Stars Sack Perry Mutapa

In a decisive move, FAZ Super League team Napsa Stars Football Club has parted ways with Head Coach Perry Mutapa, Team Manager Chizengu Lukama, and Goalkeepers Trainer Yusuf Lumu. This decision comes after a challenging season where Napsa Stars finished 14th on the log, narrowly avoiding relegation.

The team’s struggle throughout the season saw them spend significant time in the relegation zone, and they failed to qualify for the ABSA Cup as of week 17. This performance has prompted the club to seek new leadership.

Bola Yapa Zed reports that the move was anticipated, as Napsa Stars had been in discussions with Konkola Blades coach Beston Chambeshi. Chambeshi, known for his ability to help teams avoid relegation, took charge of Konkola Blades late in the season. Despite making the team competitive, it was not enough to keep them in the top tier.
