Kabwe Warriors goalkeeper Mangani Banda has officially secured the 2025/26 MTN Super League Golden Glove Award after recording an impressive 17 clean sheets during a remarkable campaign.
The experienced shot-stopper confirmed his place as the league’s best-performing goalkeeper following Kabwe Warriors’ rescheduled Week 32 fixture, which ended in a goalless draw and mathematically sealed the award.
Banda’s consistency, leadership, and commanding performances throughout the season have now earned him recognition as the top goalkeeper in Zambia’s top flight.

Beyond winning the Golden Glove award, Mangani Banda also wrote his name into the history books after becoming the first goalkeeper in the 2025/26 MTN Super League season to record five consecutive clean sheets.
The 28-year-old enjoyed a sensational start to the campaign as Kabwe Warriors went on a five-match unbeaten run without conceding a single goal between 16th August and 20th September 2025.
His incredible consistency immediately established him as one of the standout performers in the league.

During the historic run, Banda kept clean sheets against:
- Kansanshi Dynamos
- FC Leopards
- Nkwazi
- Nkana
- Green Buffaloes
The impressive streak helped position Kabwe Warriors among the early pace-setters in the MTN Super League and highlighted the club’s defensive strength.
Banda’s performances were backed by a disciplined defensive unit marshalled by Field Kandela, Yoram Chanda, and Killian Kanguluma.
