Green Buffaloes Interested in Malawian Striker Kumwembe
The manager of Mighty Mukuru Wanderers FC, Panganeni Ndovi, has disclosed to Bola Yapa Zed that Green Buffaloes Football Club, a prominent Zambian team in the country’s top league, has expressed interest in acquiring Wanderers’ star striker, Christopher Jacammah Kumwembe.
Mr. Ndovi confirmed that while the club has received a formal letter from Green Buffaloes regarding Kumwembe, the final decision will hinge on the terms set by Wanderers being met by the Zambian side.
“We are only hearing this from the sports pages as we as Wanderers have indeed received a letter from the Green Buffaloes of Zambia regarding Kumwembe. Everything is going well and we believe they will do what we have asked for,” Panganeni Ndovi stated.
Ndovi also revealed that Kumwembe has garnered interest from other clubs across Africa, including teams from Tanzania, Mozambique, and additional Zambian clubs. However, these negotiations have yet to progress.
“Other teams from Tanzania, Mozambique, and even Zambia also want this player but they did not continue with us in negotiations,” Ndovi concluded.
The potential transfer of Christopher Jacammah Kumwembe is set to be a significant topic in the regional football community, as his move could impact the involved clubs’ strategies and performance.
