From Chingola to Ndola Boyd Mulwanda Joins Forest Rangers
Forest Rangers have made a swift move in the dugout, appointing Boyd Mulwanda as their new Head Coach following the dismissal of Matthews Ndhlovu and Dennis Makinka.
Mulwanda, who until recently served as First Assistant Coach at Nchanga Rangers, steps into the role with immediate effect. The experienced tactician is no stranger to top-flight football, having previously managed Kansanshi Dynamos and worked across several technical setups in the MTN Super League.
The appointment comes as Forest Rangers look to build on their solid start to the season but also respond to growing concerns within the boardroom. Despite sitting fourth on the log after eight games, club executives reportedly felt the team’s performances had not matched the heavy investment made in player recruitment during the offseason.
Mulwanda’s arrival is seen as both a strategic and symbolic move a coach known for discipline, tactical organization, and strong player management taking charge of a team with continental ambitions.
The transition marks an unexpected twist for Nchanga Rangers, who lose a key member of their technical bench mid-season. Sources close to the club confirm that Mulwanda officially tendered his resignation earlier this week, paving the way for Forest Rangers to finalize the deal.
As he prepares to take on his first assignment with Fole Malembe, all eyes will be on how quickly Mulwanda can stamp his authority and steady a side eager to turn promise into sustained success.
