Exciting news has emerged from the world of women’s football as Copper Queens defender Lushomo Mweemba has officially been unveiled as a new player for BIIK Kazygurt. The announcement was made on the club’s Instagram account, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Mweemba’s career.

The Zambian Women’s National Team defensive stalwart recently inked a one-and-a-half-year deal with the prestigious Kazakhstani club, joining fellow countrywomen defender Martha Tembo and midfielder Ireen Lungu at BIIK Kazygurt. Mweemba’s move comes after her successful stint with Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club, where she showcased her talent and defensive prowess.

Mweemba is now gearing up to represent BIIK Kazygurt in the upcoming Kazakhstani Women’s Cup, scheduled to commence on May 1, 2024. The tournament will see BIIK facing tough opposition, including Okzhetpes, Aktobe, Tomiris-Turan, and Ordabasy, in their quest for glory.
