Fridah Kabwe Propels Copper Queens into COSAFA Cup Semi-finals with Hat-Trick
Striker Fridah Kabwe delivered a stellar performance, scoring a remarkable hat-trick to lead Zambia to a 5-1 victory over Comoros and secure a spot in the semi-finals of the COSAFA Cup.
In a dazzling display, Zambia’s Fridah Kabwe emerged as the star of the match, netting three crucial goals that propelled her team to the top of Group B with seven points. Zambia’s journey in the tournament started slowly, with a goalless draw against Mozambique. However, they quickly gained momentum, securing a 3-1 victory over Angola before the resounding 5-1 win against Comoros.
Kabwe’s brilliance was evident as she opened the scoring for Zambia in the 20th minute with a skillful dipping and curling shot. Comoros fought back valiantly, equalizing in the 42nd minute with a goal from Mohamed Roukia, benefiting from a deflection by Endjouia Ali.

With this impressive victory, Zambia secured their spot in the semi-finals of the COSAFA Cup. Their opponent in the semi-finals will be determined based on the outcome of the match between Zimbabwe and Botswana.
