Zambian football legend Kennedy mweene announces retirement.

Kennedy Mweene who is a Zambian national team and Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper is one of the most popular players Africa has seen in the past decades.

 

Mweene born in Lusaka made his debut into the National team after playing for Lusaka Celtic club in 2003 before he moved to play for Free Stars in 2005.

After his tremendous performance at the 2012 Africa cup of Nations, Kennedy Mweene landed a contract to play for Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa from 2013 to date.

 

Kennedy Mweene’s news of retirement came in shock for most fans but in his words from a recent interview, he extended his appreciation to the fans for their support.I” have decided to retire from football after consulting my family and ofcourse listening to my body” he added.

At the 2012 Africa cup of Nations, Kennedy Mweene  was among Zambia’s national team squad which clamimed the championship.
