The two players in the photo played the first half of Zambian Super League 2022-2023 season. Kennedy Musonda played for Power Dynamos FC , the current leader of Zambian League, he was the top scorer and currently the joint top scorer of MTN super League before moving to Young Africans last month.
The other one is Alex Ngonga, played for Nkana FC before moving to TP Mazembe . His move to TP Mazembe was somehow controversial as it was not his intent. The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) suspend him by almost 6 months and he had to pay a certain amount of money as fine. Instead of being stopped by almost 6 months, he decided to leave Nkana and join TP Mazembe .
Those guys have shown in yesterday game that they have quality, Musonda scored one of Yanga’s goal and provided the assist for the second, while Ngonga through a free kick reduced for TP Mazembe , this was his second goal in the competition as he scored in the first game against Real Bamako in Lumbubashi.
There are many people in Zambia defending that both players should be called by the Zambian National Team coach for their back to back games against Lesotho for AFCON qualifiers next month.
