Racheal Kundananji Wins Best Goal Award at Mundo Deportivo Awards
Copper Queens striker Racheal Kundananji’s recognition at the Mundo Deportivo awards adds to her growing list of accolades. At the 3rd edition of the European Women’s Football awards, she was presented with the prestigious Estrella Damm Best Goal award.
This recognition comes just four days after Kundananji was named the revelation (breakthrough player) of the season at the MARCA Women’s Sports Awards.
Racheal Kundananji, who plays for Madrid CFF, concluded a remarkable season in Spain with an impressive tally of 25 goals. She established herself as the second-highest scorer in the 2022/2023 Spanish Liga F season, just behind Spain and Levante forward Alba Maria Redondo Ferrer, who netted 27 goals.
One of Kundananji’s remarkable achievements was her ability to score against 13 out of the 15 teams she faced during the season:

Kundananji’s goal-scoring prowess made her a formidable force in the Spanish Liga F, and she excelled against a range of strong opponents. Her incredible season left her with only two teams against which she failed to score: Atlético de Madrid and Sevilla.
The Estrella Damm Best Goal award recognizes Kundananji’s ability to score spectacular and memorable goals, and her contribution to women’s football has undoubtedly been outstanding. Her achievement in the Spanish Liga F has not only brought her personal recognition but has also elevated the profile of Zambian women’s football on the international stage.
