Power Dynamos midfielder Salulani Phiri has described winning his fourth Super League title as a “special” achievement following another successful campaign with the Kitwe giants.
The experienced midfielder helped Power Dynamos retain the MTN Super League title during the 2025/26 season, securing his second consecutive championship with the club.
Phiri had previously won two league titles with Zanaco before adding another two with Power Dynamos to take his total to four league crowns.
“Winning Back-to-Back Here Feels Great”
Speaking in an exclusive interview with BolaNews, the midfielder admitted the latest achievement carries special meaning because of the journey Power Dynamos have taken in recent seasons.
“This is the fourth one now; I think it is special,” Phiri said.
“Winning it back to back here [at Power]. I know I have won it with Zanaco twice but winning it back-to-back here feels so great.”
The midfielder has been one of the experienced figures within the Power Dynamos squad and played an important role during another dominant campaign.
Another Historic Season for Power Dynamos
Power Dynamos finished the season at the top of the MTN Super League table with 78 points to successfully defend the title they won during the previous campaign.
The Kitwe giants showed remarkable consistency throughout the season and established themselves as the strongest side in the league.
Their title-winning campaign also included an impressive unbeaten run throughout 2026.
Perfect Finish to the Season
Power Dynamos closed the season in style on Saturday after defeating Mufulira Wanderers 2-0 in their final league match.
The victory allowed the champions to finish the campaign on a positive note while maintaining their unbeaten record this year.
The result further highlighted the dominance and stability the club displayed throughout the season.
Phiri’s Experience Key for Power
Salulani Phiri’s leadership and experience have continued to make him an important figure for Power Dynamos.
Having already enjoyed success with Zanaco earlier in his career, the midfielder brought valuable winning experience into the Power squad.
His latest title now places him among the more decorated midfielders currently playing in Zambian football.
Power Dynamos Continue Raising Standards
The successful title defence also confirmed Power Dynamos’ growing dominance in local football.
The club not only retained the league title but also competed strongly in the CAF Champions League group stage during the season.
Many analysts believe the consistency shown by the Kitwe giants has helped raise the standard of competition in the MTN Super League.
Conclusion
Winning a fourth Super League title represents another major milestone in Salulani Phiri’s career.
After helping Power Dynamos retain the championship and finish the season strongly, the midfielder continues to establish himself as one of the league’s experienced winners.
With confidence high inside the Power Dynamos camp, the club will now look to build on another successful campaign heading into next season.
