Chipolopolo frustrated by Malawi’s goal in COSAFA cup

Malawi’s Victory 1-0 over Zambia was the first of its kind for Malawi since 2015 When the flames won with the similar score.

Zambia got off to a bad start In the 16th minute of the match When Aaron katebe headed the ball into his own net. The prevailing substitutions by coach Moses during the first half of the match did not bring in any relief as he brought in Joshua Mutale for Patson Kwataine.

Attempts to equalise were made severally in the 54 minute of the game by Mutale but they all proved futile as Malawi held on to their goal which ended the match with Malawi taking the three points.

Malawis Alick Lungu was named man of the match and the interim coach Mabedi did not hide away his celebration” we only had one day to train and this is truly as well the independence day gift” he said as Malawi celebrated its 59th independence day on the same day

Zambia will need to bounce back on Sunday when they face Comoros. Following thee win, Malawi is second in group B and is sharing the same points with Comoros who won by 3 goals against Sychelles.
