CHIKOTESHA GETS FINAL VAR APPOINTMENT…

There will be double joy for Zambia in match officiating when FIFA assistant referee Diana Chikotesha joins the officiating panel for the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League third place playoff match and the final in Morocco on Sunday.

Chikotesha will be the first assistant referee in the third and fourth place match between Bayelsa Queens FC of Nigeria and Simba Queens FC of Tanzania on Saturday, a match that will be officiated by Antsino Twanyanyukwa of Namibia.

DR Congo’s Mireille Mujanayi will be the second assistant referee while Shahenda Elmaghrabi of Egypt will be the fourth official.

In Sunday’s finale between reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns and hosts ASFAR, Chikotesha will be the VAR assistant.

Togolese referee Vincentia Amedome will take charge of proceedings and will be assisted by Cameroonian Carine Fomo and Asma Ouahab of Algeria.
