Edward Chilufya Junior Shines with Assist in Danish League
Zambian forward Edward Chilufya Jr. played a pivotal role for defending champions FC Midtjylland, assisting the second goal in their 2-2 draw against Nordsjaelland during the Danish Super League round two encounter.
Chilufya, who played the first 66 minutes of the match, has now provided assists in two consecutive matches across all competitions. Since scoring for the national team in the World Cup qualifiers, Chilufya has yet to find the back of the net but has made a significant impact since returning from a loan spell at Swedish side BK Hacken.
The 24-year-old Zambian winger’s recent performances are promising as he establishes himself in the starting lineup. His assist for Danish midfielder Sørensen’s equalizing goal in the 45th minute right before halftime highlights his contribution to the team.
Despite Chilufya’s efforts, FC Midtjylland remains winless in the league this season, having drawn their opening match against Aarhus AGF as well.
