
Chipolopolo to Open 2025 AFCON Qualification Against Elephants
Zambia’s national football team, Chipolopolo, is set to begin their qualification campaign for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with an away match against defending champions Côte d’Ivoire. The qualification process for Group G has been outlined, with Zambia facing a series of crucial fixtures in the coming months.

September 2-10, 2024:
Away: Côte d’Ivoire vs. Zambia
Home: Zambia vs. Sierra Leone
October 7-15, 2024:
Home: Zambia vs. Chad
Away: Chad vs. Zambia
November 11-19, 2024:
Home: Zambia vs. Côte d’Ivoire
Away: Sierra Leone vs. Zambia
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Morocco 2025, scheduled to be held from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. This will mark the 35th edition of Africa’s premier football tournament.
Zambia’s Chipolopolo will need to perform at their best to secure a spot in the tournament and aim to make a significant impact on Africa’s biggest football stage.
