ZPL: National Division One League Week 2 Results
The Zambian Premier League (ZPL) National Division One is heating up as we wrap up Week 2 of the season.
The standings are already showing signs of who might be the teams to beat this year, with Kansanshi Dynamos and Konkola Blades setting the pace at the top of the table.
Week 2 Results Overview:
- Kitwe United 0-1 Ndola United: Nason Chabala’s lone goal gave Ndola United their first win of the season. Kitwe United put up a strong fight but couldn’t find the back of the net.
- Kafue Eagles 0-2 Riverplate: Riverplate secured a solid victory with goals from Limi Banda and Emmanuel Mwale (penalty). The win sees Riverplate join the leaders at the top of the table.
- Kansanshi Dynamos 1-0 Prison Leopards: Dalitso Lungu’s strike was enough to keep Kansanshi Dynamos’ perfect start intact. The win places them at the top of the table with six points.
- Konkola Blades 2-0 Mpulungu Harbour: Clenn Afull and Victor Mubanga were on target as Konkola Blades comfortably defeated Mpulungu Harbour. Their dominant performance leaves them tied at the top with Kansanshi Dynamos.
- Chambishi 0-1 Aguila Stars: Kalolamanda Sichivula’s goal ensured Aguila Stars collected all three points, keeping them in the top four.
- Jumulo 1-1 Kalumbila Quattro: A tightly contested match saw both teams sharing the spoils. Chishala Musonda’s penalty for Jumulo was canceled out by a late equalizer from Kalumbila Quattro.
