Zesco Drawn Against Dynamos FC of Zimbabwe
ZESCO United has been drawn against Dynamos FC of Zimbabwe in the 1st Preliminary Round of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2024/25. The match is scheduled to take place between August 16th and 25th.
Coach Tenant Chilumba expressed the team’s determination to secure a favorable outcome in the first leg away from home. “Our aim is to get a positive result,” Chilumba stated, highlighting the importance of the away match.
ZESCO United is eager to make a strong impression in the competition and will be relying on the support of their fans to cheer them on to victory. The team is preparing rigorously to ensure they are ready for the challenge ahead.
With the departure of TD Janza, there is a belief that the working atmosphere has improved on the technical bench, potentially leading to better performances on the pitch. Management trusts Coach George Lwandamina, whose experience in continental competitions is seen as vital, especially as Zambia aims to earn points to improve their standings and reclaim the four slots.
ZESCO United has made a few departures and signings, forming a formidable side capable of progressing to the group stage of the competition. However, areas needing improvement include acquiring a creative midfielder and a lethal striker to bolster the squad.
