The Zambia Men’s Senior National Team, popularly known as the Chipolopolo Boys, has embarked on its pre-AFCON journey with a training session and subsequent departure for Saudi Arabia. Led by Coach Avram Grant and his dedicated technical staff, the team is gearing up for the upcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament set to commence on January 13 in Ivory Coast.
The team will establish its camp in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where they plan to engage in two international friendly matches as a crucial part of their preparation for the AFCON competition. This strategic move aims to fine-tune the players’ skills, enhance team cohesion, and assess their form against international opponents.
The Chipolopolo Boys are scheduled to stay in Jeddah for a 10-day training camp, utilizing this time to focus on tactical strategies, physical conditioning, and overall team dynamics. The training camp serves as a pivotal phase for Coach Avram Grant to analyze player performances, make necessary adjustments, and instill a winning mindset in the squad.
