TP Mazembe Targets Lloyd Aaron Banega from Nyasa Big Bullets
TP Mazembe, the five-time CAF Champions League winners, are reportedly keen on signing FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ talented midfielder, Lloyd Aaron Banega, in the upcoming January transfer window, according to reports from Nation Sport. This interest follows the successful acquisition of Patrick Mwangulu and Lanjesi Nkhoma from the same club.
Felix Sapao, TP Mazembe’s representative in Malawi, confirmed that the Lubumbashi-based club has been closely monitoring Banega for some time. They were particularly impressed by his performance in the CAF Champions League match against Red Arrows, which further solidified their interest.
Sapao also revealed that Mazembe initially intended to sign Banega along with Mwangulu and Nkhoma, but decided to allow him more time to develop his skills before making the move. The club’s strategy seems to be one of patience, ensuring that Banega is ready to make an impact upon joining their ranks.
TP Mazembe’s interest in Banega underscores the midfielder’s rising profile and potential to make a significant impact on the continental stage. Should the transfer go through, Banega will join a prestigious club with a rich history in African football, offering him a platform to further his career and showcase his talent at the highest level.
