Teams continue to burn their opponents in the ongoing COSAFA Cup taking place in Durban South Africa.The tournament which started on 5th of july 2023 is comprised of 12 teams which are split into three groups each containing four teams.
In group A any team between South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Eswatini can emerge Group A log toppers after tomorrow’s final group clash where Botswana will face off Namibia while South Africa will be meeting Eswatini. As it stands south Africa has 4points seconded by Botswana and eswatini both with 3points.
Malawi is topping group B with 6 points after defeating zambia the COSAFA defending champions and Seychelles.Zambia won its second match against Comoros with 2 goals and has 3 points while Comoros and Seychells are on the bottom of the table both with 2 points.
In the next matches which are on Tuesday july 11th 2023 ,Zambia will play against Seychelles while Malawi will play against Comoros.
Group C has Lesotho, Mozambique, Angola and Mauritius. After the competitive matches played since the first day, Lesotho has emerged out with 3 points topping the standing,seconded by Mozambique with a point and Angola on third with a point as well while Mauritius suffered losses in all their matches and has no point.
In group C next matches are today the 10th July 2023 where Angola will play against Mauritius while Mozambique will be thrashing against Lesotho
After the group matches are played,we will witness group winners heading to the semifinals along with one best looser across the 3 groups.
