Obvious Mwaliteta Jr Joins Aguila Stars FC on a Three-Year Deal
Aguila Stars FC have officially announced the signing of talented Zambian midfielder Obvious Mwaliteta Jr from CUBS Academy. The 18-year-old box-to-box midfielder has earned recognition at the national level, having represented Zambia’s Under-17 team in the 2023 TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Algeria. His impressive performances on the international stage have now secured him a well-deserved move to the ambitious club.
Mwaliteta Jr. has shown remarkable consistency in youth football, further earning a spot in Zambia’s U-20 squad for the 2024 COSAFA U-20 Championship. His ability to control the midfield, break up play, and contribute to attacking phases makes him a valuable addition to Aguila Stars. With his defensive discipline and attacking vision, he is expected to bring depth and dynamism to the team’s midfield.
Signing a three-year contract, Mwaliteta Jr. is set to be a key figure in Aguila Stars’ plans moving forward. The club is confident in his potential and sees him as a promising talent for both club and country. His transition from academy football to the senior level marks a significant milestone in his career, and Aguila Stars will provide him with the platform to continue his development at a competitive level.
Speaking on the signing, Aguila Stars FC’s Media and PR Officer, Charles Halwiindi, expressed excitement about Mwaliteta Jr.’s arrival. “Obvious is a fantastic talent who has already proven himself at the youth level for Zambia. His work rate, versatility, and technical abilities make him a great fit for our club. We believe he has a bright future ahead.”
As Mwaliteta Jr. embarks on this new journey, fans will be eager to see how he adapts to top-flight football. His previous experience with Zambia’s youth teams suggests he has the potential to excel and possibly earn senior national team recognition in the future. For now, Aguila Stars FC have secured a gem, and the young midfielder will be looking to make an immediate impact.
