FAZ Super League Week 34 Fixtures: A Grand Finale
The 2023/24 FAZ Super League season reaches its dramatic conclusion this weekend with all fixtures set to be played simultaneously at 15:00 CAT on Saturday, 1st June 2024. The top four positions have been secured, but the relegation battle remains intense, ensuring a thrilling finale to the season.
Top Four Secured
Zesco United have cemented their place in the CAF Confederation Cup with a resounding 5-0 victory over relegated Trident FC. This dominant win propelled them to 59 points, a comfortable four-point lead over their closest rivals, Power Dynamos, who sit at 55 points after 33 games. Even if Power Dynamos win their final game against NAPSA Stars, they cannot overtake Zesco United, solidifying Zesco’s third-place finish.
Relegation Battle Intensifies
The relegation struggle is the focal point of this weekend’s fixtures. Konkola Blades face a must-win situation and need to score more than five goals in their match against Prison Leopards to have a chance of survival. However, their fate also hinges on the result of the Forest Rangers vs. Kansanshi Dynamos match. Kansanshi, along with Trident and Prison Leopards, has already been relegated, making Forest Rangers’ outcome critical.
Both NAPSA Stars and Forest Rangers are currently on 40 points, meaning their survival in the league depends heavily on the results of their respective matches. A slip from either team could see them drop into the relegation zone.
Saturday, 1st June 2024 Fixtures
All matches will kick off at 15:00 CAT, ensuring fans can follow the simultaneous drama as it unfolds.
