Sakala has confirmed leaving Rangers FC club after sending a farewell message to the club and his fans .The Zambian forward Fashion Sakala jnr has revealed that he is leaving Rangers with a heavy heart and spirit of gratitude
While this is so, the 26-year-old, who joined Rangers from Oostende in 2021, has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia. Rumors of him joining the Saudi pro League club comes amid speculations that they are a number of other clubs wanting to sign him. The Saudi Arabian Al Fahya is leading the bid after submitting a fee of £2 million to the club for Fashion Sakala but it is still not yet confirmed if he is joining the club.
Sakala didn’t mention of any new employer and the Ibrox club confirmed of his departure in an interview where the clubs manager Michael Beale expressed his gratitude for Sakala and hinted on Sakala’s move to another team “It was financially an offer that for Fashion and his family he should have took and he has done that” he said.
Sakala, who made 91 appearances for Rangers and scored 24 goals, said the sense of belonging he derived from being welcomed at Ibrox was the driving force behind his performances on the pitch.
He went on to thank the entire management and staff and the club’s fans, adding that he will always be a Ranger at heart. Sakala had a fantastic time at Rangers and he was one of the best players at the club last season but he is leaving just after two seasons.
