Charles Kafula Appointed Head Coach of Mufulira Wanderers
Mufulira Wanderers Football Club Board is delighted to announce the confirmation of Charles Kafula as the head coach of the club. Coach Kafula, who served as the acting head coach towards the end of the season, has now been given the role permanently following his impressive performance.
Kafula and his technical bench played a pivotal role in ensuring the team consolidated its stay in the Super League, guiding Mufulira Wanderers to a commendable seventh-place finish during the 2023-2024 ZPL soccer season. Their strategic leadership and dedication have earned them the full confidence of the club’s management.
In addition to Coach Kafula’s appointment, the club has also elevated Coach Joseph Sitali from the junior team to the senior setup. This move is part of the club’s strategy to integrate and develop talent from within its ranks, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity in coaching philosophy.

Mufulira Wanderers Football Club Board wishes to inform its sponsors, partners supporters and the entire football fraternity that, Coach Charles Kafula has been confirmed as the head coach of the club after a successful acting on the position towards the end of the season.
He and his technical bench will continue in their respective roles following their impressive performance in ensuring the team consolidated its stay in the Super League as well as finishing seventh during the 2023-2024 ZPL soccer season.
Furthermore, Coach Joseph Sitali has been elevated from the junior team to be part of the senior set up.
Following their recent achievement, management has no doubt in their abilities to propel the team even to greater heights.
We therefore request all to give them maximum support as we make “Maite” Mighty again.
