This was her third straight match scoring for the team, having scored in their previous two matches. Banda drew level for Shengli in the 17th minute before netting again in the 52nd minute to make it 2-2. She then completed her hat-trick in the 77th minute to seal a well-deserved win for her team.
Banda had previously scored her second goal of the season in Shanghai RCB’s 4-1 win over Changchun Dazhong Zhiye in week 2. She had also opened her account for the 2023 China Taiping Women’s Super League with a late winner against Shaanxi Chang AN Athletic FC on March 4. Banda has now scored five goals in three games this season, helping her team to three straight wins and tying with Wuhan Jiangda on 9 points at the top of the league.

The former Green Buffaloes Women’s Football club star won the golden boot in her first season in China back in 2020, scoring 18 goals. She will be hoping to replicate that feat this season and help Shanghai to the league title. Banda‘s impressive performances and goal-scoring prowess make her a player to watch out for in the league this season.
