Avram Grant Applauds Barbra Banda for Multiple Prestigious Awards

Chipolopolo coach Avram Grant has congratulated newly crowned CAF Women’s Footballer of the Year Barbra describing her as a once in a lifetime talent.

Speaking to the FAZ Media, Grant wished the Orlando Pride star the best of luck in the coming year.
“Let me join the rest of the world in congratulating Barbra for being crowned CAF Women’s Footballer of the Year and also coming out second best in the FIFA votes,” Grant says.
“This is good for Zambia and Africa as it opens doors for many aspiring female footballers. It is a positive story for Zambia going into the next year.”

Barbra had a phenomenal season sweeping up numerous individual awards from the coveted CAF Women’s Footballer of the Year, FIFPRO Best XI, United States Women’s Soccer League Most Valuable Player, BBC Women Footballer of the Year and FIFA second Best Player.
