Kabwe Warriors have officially announced the departure of head coach Albert Kachinga, who will exit the club at the end of June 2025 following the expiration of his short-term contract. His brief spell in charge of the Magnificent People’s Team comes to an end just four months after his appointment.
Kachinga’s Short Spell at Warriors
Kachinga took over the reins in March 2025, following the departure of Numba Mumamba, who left to rejoin Zanaco. The club handed Kachinga a three-month deal, tasking him with stabilizing the team and finishing the season strongly.
Despite bringing experience and tactical discipline to the side, the club has opted not to extend his contract as they begin planning for the 2025/2026 MTN Super League season.
Official Club Statement
Kabwe Warriors confirmed the decision in a statement released Monday:
“Kabwe Warriors Football Club wishes to announce that Head Coach Albert Kachinga will be leaving the club when his contract expires at the end of June 2025. The club thanks him for his contribution and wishes him well in his future endeavors.”
Looking Ahead
With the new season fast approaching, Kabwe Warriors will now begin the search for a new head coach capable of guiding the team forward in the highly competitive MTN Super League. This marks a period of significant transition for the club, especially following the recent exits of Assistant Coach Chintu Kampamba and defender Kabaso Chongo.
